Bridge to Professional Work
Under the skillful guidance of Managing Director Ivan Simirechenskiy, Alchemy Ballet Company (ABC) is a youth dance company with big dreams that creates opportunity and bridges divides in dance. Our dancers are freelance professionals and advanced pre-professionals taking the next step in their careers as company members and apprentices.
Our repertory includes traditional ballets and new contemporary commissions by established and emerging choreographers from diverse backgrounds. These performances and showcases display the diversity of our repertory and the versatility of our dancers, while educating and entertaining audiences of all ages.
Trainees in our Virginia youth ballet work intensively with the professional company dancers and also train separately with our world class faculty. As well as training with our Alchemy faculty, our trainees will have opportunities to learn from and dance with the international artists of our Masters Series.
All of our ABC dancers are offered career counseling and support as well as individualized mentoring.
Training Program and Schedule
To prepare to bridge to professional work, our dancers train six days per week with our world class faculty to polish their technique and rehearse for performances.
Performance
Drawing upon the decades of international performance experience and success brought by Managing Director Ivan Semirechenskiy and our other world class faculty, dancers have the opportunity to perform in our local community, area schools, and large performing arts venues. Competitions
We are proud of the artistry and accomplishments of our dancers and our world class faculty support them in demonstrating their skill in internationally recognized competitions like USIBC and UBC.
